The Painter
I’ve been drawn to creating for as long as I can remember. As a child I spent much of my time painting, and I continued to study art throughout school, though I later chose to pursue fashion design rather than art formally.
Throughout my twenties I built creative businesses in fashion and florals, working closely with colour, texture and natural forms that continue to influence my work today. Painting returned more quietly during this time, eventually becoming the primary way I explore emotion and place.
The Process
My work is shaped by an intuitive process rather than a fixed plan. I’m drawn to the subtle tension between land and sea, and to the emotional states that sit beneath the surface of a landscape. Through layered colour and gesture, each painting evolves slowly, responding to instinct and feeling as it develops.
Often a work moves far from its original idea, leaving traces of earlier decisions visible within the final piece.
Collecting an Original
Each work is a one-of-a-kind original. To collect a work, select “Acquire Artwork” on the individual work page. An invoice will be sent via email once availability and shipping have been confirmed.
Shipping is calculated based on size and location prior to payment. Once sold, works move to the archive.
